When we talk about weekend getaways, we generally mean leaving on Friday night and coming back by Monday early morning so we can get back to our routines.
Here are five, weekend getaways you should definitely visit if you stay in or around Delhi:
1. PALAMPUR: MOUNTAINS, TEA GARDENS, and SHIVA TEMPLE

It is 489 km from Delhi and took us about 10 hours to reach there. You can spend time in Tea Gardens, Tashi Jong Monastery, Baijnath Temple, or just roaming around the market and look for Tibetan handicrafts. We stayed at this beautiful property, you can know more about it here.
2. KANATAL: MOUNTAINS, APPLE ORCHARDS, and KODIA JUNGLE

It is 321 km from Delhi and took us roughly 8 hours to reach there. The first time we went to Kanatal, we stayed in camps inside a jungle where we did bonfire between the mountains, it was such an unusual experience.
